Managing Director Jagdish Khattar of Maruti India Limited exhibited his managerial talent by instantly deciding to gift a Maruti SX-4 car for the runner-up Amit paul too in race of Indian Idol after he handed over keys of the already announced Maruti SX-4 to the winner Prashant Tamang, because it was indeed a closely contested race. Fact remains that every one reaching to even preliminary rounds of the race presented finally on the TV screens has indeed been a performer in himself/herself. Even the judges find it hard to eliminate a performer in each of the televised programme. Therefore every participant in Indian Idol should be honourably gifted. Rather the runner-up should get half of the prize won the winner. It is necessary because SMS votes cannot decide the real talent as rightly revealed by experts including even Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar. It was nice of Prime Minister Dr Manmohansingh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi having encouraged the young talent by meeting the final contestants by taking time from their busy schedule.
